The Open Market Transfer System closed on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 5:00 PM, and will reopen in April of 2026. Once the official launch date is determined, it will be posted on this page.
What is OMT?
The Open Market Transfer System (OMT) provides access to published vacancies for currently appointed, full-time, school-based staff seeking to transfer to a different school or location.
For step-by-step procedures and screenshots for Principals and HR Directors, please review the Open Market Transfer System Guide 2025-26. The OMT deck contains details about new enhancements to the Open Market Transfer System, Teacher Recruitment guidance, and important information regarding budgets and forecasted vacancies.
We're excited to share a step-by-step video guide on user registration and applying for vacancies or schools through the OMT system.
What about the Excessed Staff Selection System (ESSS)?
The Excessed Staff Selection System (ESSS) launched on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 9:00 AM and will remain open until April 2026. ESSS and OMT share a common platform, therefore, when one of these systems is launched, the other closes for data and system updates.
