English Language Learner Demographics

This page contains demographic information about English language learners (ELLs) enrolled in NYC public schools. This page can be used by teachers, parents, advocates and others to gain an enriched sense of ELLs in NYC public schools; it includes the following:

Analysis of NYC’s ELL population as a whole
- enrollment by borough
- grade level
- places of birth
- home languages
- participation in ELL programs and services
