Per Session Opportunities
During the school year and summer, employees may apply for per session activities scheduled before or after school, on weekends or holidays (if approved). Selection is based on the criteria in each per session posting, and work consists of extracurricular duties for which eligible pedagogical, pupil personnel service providers, and supervisory staff are paid an hourly rate based on their title. Per session work must not extend or replace an employee’s primary job responsibilities or be used to provide extra compensation for the primary assignment. Employees may work remotely only for specific approved activities listed in the Chancellor's regulations and Division of Human Resources guidelines. Staff may not perform per session during their normal working hours on a regular school day, during the contractual lunch period, or on a day they are absent due to illness. Employees absent for jury duty or official business may perform per session work only outside their regular work hours. The per session year aligns with the school fiscal year and runs from July 1 through June 30 of the following year. For more information, see Chancellor’s Regulation C-175.
School-Based Per Session Jobs
Search and apply for school-based opportunities on the Per Session Jobs page within the main NYCPS website. Jobs are also posted by regulation within school buildings.
